I'm leaving as soon as I hear the first crow / to find a new ground where greener grass grows / but I promise to not forget all that I know / my love, to you, I bestow /
For I had a dream of a land I admired / that I found when my hometown went up in a fire / at the end I thanked God for all that transpired / so I'm leaving to quell this desire
Hush, now / fear not, my darling / the fates smile / on you and I / I see good things a-coming / there won't be a cloud in the sky
on that fateful day I arrive / until then I wish you good night
The Taxpayers were able to put down a tacklist of songs that allow us to go on a journey. In this album we experience the manic highs and lows one may experience in a life long battle with deteriorating mental health. The picture at times grim and beautiful is one I continually come back to as its tragedy never fades. Ulysses Johnson
